Hi! My name is Abby, and I am currently a second-grade teacher in Chicago! I grew up in Wisconsin, where I got my Bachelor's in Early Childhood - Middle Adolescence Education with a Minor and certificate in Mathematics. I have had such a love for the school and all the great opportunities it provided me as a child, and once I went off to college, I knew it was the right choice for me. I have worked in 2nd grade for two years and taught as a special education teacher during Covid for half a year in my hometown. I worked with 5th grade for a semester in college and next year, I will be heading back to 5th grade to teach, and I could not be more excited. I love working with students and helping them grow in their ways. My goals are to assist students and their families in reaching the goals we have set and have a positive impact on a family's life.

Outside of work, I love living a healthy lifestyle. Fitness is a large part of my everyday life. I am outside as much as possible in the summer and love taking lessons in nature whenever possible. I continuously try to grow and learn and can not wait to show you through JAM tutoring!
