My experiences in the world of education have been an adventure! When I was a student myself, I was not fond of school. I promised myself that my career would eventually help students like me create a better version of“school” for themselves. Searching for this role has led me through school psychology, restorative justice, social and emotional learning, and various curriculum and instruction. The positions I’ve held demanded an array of knowledge, skills, and abilities. During my school psychology training and practice, I became an active data collector, counselor, analyst, and interventionist. As a restorative justice coordinator, I served as a mediator of restorative conversation and elementary practice coordinator. No matter where I worked or what I did, I was fortunate enough to meet professionals, families, and students who reminded me why I started this work in the first place. I remembered the promise I made myself early on to help students experience a world of education that felt right for them, and that’s why I joined JAM. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you! Through the collaborative efforts of JAM Teaching, we can serve you and your student better than anyone else!
