Hi! My name is Ms. Casey, and I am a former Early Childhood teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Bucknell University and a Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from DePaul University.
After having my son in 2020, I decided to focus my efforts on 1:1 intervention and tutoring students ranging from preschool to 4th grade. I focus mainly on Reading, Math, and Writing and have training in the SLANT system (Orton-Gillingham-based literacy method). I’ve always enjoyed working with children, and I especially enjoyed my coursework in Developmental Psychology during my undergraduate studies. I believe the early years of a child’s education are paramount in forming a positive relationship with a school to create lifelong learners. I love helping students find their confidence in the classroom by providing them with tangible skills to start school on the right foot from a young age.
I’m a Chicago native and grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago. My husband and I live an active lifestyle with our 2.5-year-old son in the suburbs.
