Hello! My name is Mae! I am originally from Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois with a Human Development and Family Studies degree and a minor in Psychology. Through my studies and experiences working with kids in various settings, I have explored many different career paths. I have worked with infants up to older adults in classroom and teaching settings and enjoy understanding how humans change mentally and physically over their lives. I am continuing my education at the University of Illinois in Chicago to get my Master’s degree to become an Occupational Therapist. I have a passion for helping adapt activities, concepts, and lessons for students with different learning styles and varying levels of development. I enjoy supporting students to overcome challenges in their education, and I believe every child must have an equal opportunity to be successful. As a tutor, I offer the skills that I have learned throughout my own experiences and help students develop their skills to enhance their learning. I like to make my sessions fun and interactive using my interests such as art, music, dancing, and sports! I also enjoy applying hands-on learning opportunities and utilizing creative materials to help students engage in their education.
