Hey there! I'm a dedicated special education teacher and tutor specializing in working with students who have autism, ADHD, and specific learning disabilities (SLD). With a background in K-8 education, I have had the opportunity to co-teach middle school English, provide resource support for first graders, and currently teach in a K-2 autism classroom.
Beyond the classroom, I've also enjoyed tutoring students with autism, ADHD, and SLD in reading, math, and study skills. One-on-one instruction allows me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each student, and it's enriching to witness their growth and achievements.
When I'm not teaching or tutoring, you can find me embarking on adventures with my Bernedoodle named Oakley. We love going on long walks together and exploring nature. Fun fact about me: I've lived in 10 different states, giving me a unique perspective and an appreciation for diversity.
I'm an avid reader in my downtime, constantly immersing myself in captivating stories and expanding my knowledge. I'm also a huge baseball fan, and you'll often find me cheering on my favorite team, the Cubs, during their games.
As a tutor, I bring a mix of expertise, passion, and a touch of fun to my sessions. I believe in creating a positive and engaging learning environment where students with autism, ADHD, and SLD feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential. So, if you're ready to embark on a learning journey together, let's get started!
