Hello! My name is Ms. Taylor, and I am a fifth and sixth-grade math teacher at Namaste Charter School in McKinley Park. I grew up in Buffalo Grove, a northwest suburb of Chicago. In 2014, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign in Human Development and Family Studies. I’ve been interested in family dynamics and child development since I started working with kids at age 14.

Upon graduation, I worked in the corporate world in recruiting and sales. As much as I loved working with people, I decided my heart was in teaching. In 2020, I graduated from National Louis University with a degree in Middle-Level Education and an endorsement in English Language Arts. I’m in my third year of teaching at Namaste Charter School and working toward a math endorsement.

Recently, I’ve had the pleasure of working with families through Jam Teaching, focusing on executive functioning skills, reading comprehension, testing strategies, and more. I also help students prepare for NWEA, academic center, and high school entrance exams.

You can find me going for lake runs, trying new restaurants, and cuddling up with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel outside of school. I look forward to helping your student achieve their goals and feel confident to succeed in learning and life!
