Hi, I’m Ms. Kim, and I am passionate about creating personalized learning experiences that empower students to overcome challenges and achieve success. With over seven years as a special education teacher, three years as a reading resource tutor, and over a decade of experience supporting students of all ages and abilities, I specialize in reading intervention and morphology instruction for grades 2-12.
I am a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner with advanced training in Orton-Gillingham methods through the Children’s Dyslexia Center. My approach is structured, clear, and goal-oriented, ensuring effective and equitable learning. I believe in setting high expectations while adapting to each student’s needs, motivation, and learning style. Whether breaking down complex reading skills, improving comprehension, or strengthening executive functioning, I tailor my instruction to make learning accessible and engaging.
Beyond teaching, I am passionate about travel, adventure, and continuous learning. I love exploring new ideas through podcasts and audiobooks, always looking for innovative ways to enrich my teaching and inspire my students.
A former administrator shared: “Ms. Noxon demonstrates an exceptional ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student. Her approach ensures that students feel valued and understood, which is crucial for their motivation and engagement.” I firmly believe in Albert Einstein’s words: “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” This philosophy drives me to create an environment where students gain academic skills and develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for lifelong learning.
