SOUND FAMILIAR?
You know your child is capable.
Their grades just don't match.
Maybe homework drags on for hours, or reading and math bring daily frustration. Maybe your child can't seem to stay organized, avoids schoolwork, or shuts down when it all feels like too much. You see how bright they are, but their report card tells a different story. That gap wears on a child's confidence, not just their grades. With the right support, the gap can close.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi! I'm Julia.
I'm an educator and learning specialist, and I founded JAM Teaching and Consulting after years of working with bright, capable students who were struggling in ways that were often misunderstood. I started JAM to offer something different, support that looks at the whole child, not just the subject on the worksheet. When we take the time to understand how a student actually learns, we can change their entire relationship with school. My goal is to help kids rebuild their skills and their confidence, and to help families feel clear and supported every step of the way.
WHAT CHANGES
When the support fits, school starts to feel different
With the right support in place, families often notice:
Stronger skills in reading, writing, and math
Better
organization and
follow-through
More confidence and willingness
to try
Greater independence with schoolwork
Most importantly, kids start to see themselves as capable learners again.
THE JAM APPROACH
When a child struggles,
it's rarely just about the subject
A reading struggle can be a language processing challenge. A math struggle can be an executive functioning one. Frustration can come from gaps in confidence or stamina, not ability. Instead of piling on more worksheets, we step back to understand how your child learns, then build support that actually moves them forward.

THE RIGHT FIT
We match your child with the right tutor, not a random one
Every tutor on our team brings different strengths, training, and teaching styles. Before we make a match, we consider your child's learning profile, personality, and goals, because the right fit is what makes support actually work.
