This might sound like a dream scenario for some, but for others it's concerning that there is no real report, no specifics. It might leave you wondering if they are seeing the whole child- or just the side that is appeasing.
There are so many different areas of development for our children- and academics is only one facet of their school day. You might want to delve deeper into the social emotional needs of your child, or their executive functioning. It can also be helpful to share what you are seeing at home with the teachers. "It is great that Johnny is showing his resiliency while at school, but when he comes home he has a really hard time rebounding when things don't go his way. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for us at home?"
Partnering up and sharing what works both in and out of the classroom will help everyone stay consistent and provide the most effective learning environments for the child.
Everyone is working on something 🙂
