Funding for Special Education Services 💵

The school district in which you reside provides the funding for your child's learning.

Public Schools are equipped with a full range of special education services and personnel. If you choose to send your child to a private school, they will still receive services- however, they may be more limited. Equitable services are federally funded- but have a much more limited budget. Sometimes, this results in fewer therapy sessions or one on one time. It can also mean that your child might need to be bussed to a local public school to receive the recommended services.

There are also many privatized specialists and therapists that are available to work with your child. This type of service would have to be sought out and paid for by the family.
