Gentle Reminder

Kids are constantly learning, growing and developing. They are not born with the immediate ability to reason and think outside of themselves. A parents, it is our job to guide them. Consistency and follow through are essential to support them through "frustration tolerance."  

Thomas W. Phelan suggests that parents need to be "gentle, consistent, decisive and calm." Over-talking children often ends up sounding a lot like the teacher in the Peanuts cartoons ... "Wah wa wa wah wa"
