Maybe a child who used to love books now avoids them. Reading homework drags and ends in frustration. You might notice trouble sounding out words, slow or effortful reading, guessing, spelling struggles, or difficulty remembering what was just read. Often these are kids working harder than their peers just to keep up. With the right instruction, that can change.

Reading support built around your child
We don't hand every student the same program. We start by understanding your child's learning profile, then pair them with a reading specialist whose training and teaching style fit how they learn. Many of our specialists are trained in structured literacy approaches like Orton-Gillingham and Wilson, the same evidence-based, multisensory methods proven to help students with dyslexia. Instruction builds the core skills that work together for confident reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. It's all part of the broader JAM Approach.

Reading looks different for every learner
Some kids struggle because of language-based differences like dyslexia. Others face challenges tied to attention, working memory, or processing speed. We look past the assignment to understand how your child processes language, then adjust instruction and pacing so reading works with how they learn, not against it. Along the way, we support the whole child, building the confidence, regulation, and stamina that carry across every subject.
