I am a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have completed my M.Ed. with a Type 04 Teaching Certificate and an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education and ESL (English as a Second Language). Currently, I am a student at National Louis University and have completed my Ed.S in Educational Leadership. I will be starting the next phase to obtain my Doctorate later this year.
I have over ten years of teaching experience, including my current position as an inclusion third-grade teacher with over 1/3rd of the population having special needs and English language learners. I have a combination of practical work experience and solid educational experience in urban education.
A few highlights about me:
I have three children; My oldest daughter is finishing college in Nashville, Tennessee. My middle son will be starting Nazareth High School in the fall. My youngest daughter is beginning Westchester Middle school in the fall. We have a puppy named Peanut-who has brought us so much joy during quarantine. My hobbies are cooking, gardening, and training our puppy.
