Pro tip: try to steer clear of words like "good" and "bad." Just because you are struggling now, doesn't mean that you aren't a good reader (or don't have the potential to be a very strong reader). When we label kids this way, we are giving them the green light to take on that identity and shrug it all off because they "aren't good anyway."
